Anyone can bring you a list of the Top 5 Brad Pitt films. We here at M.I.L.F. like to spend a little time with the other awesome actors in Hollywood. Like the certifiably bat shit insane Gary Busey. Funny thing is, at one time, he was a pretty damn good actor. Want proof? Then check out what I consider to be his Top 5 films. Before we jump in, a couple quick mentions:
EXCLUSIONS: While he was great in it, I’m excluding Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas because his part is so small that I’m not sure I’d call it a “Busey film”.
HONORABLE MENTION: Okay, I’ve never seen the film but, according to IMDB, Busey played the part of Blind Master in a film called The Hand Job in 2005. That is too funny. I had to mention it!
So, let’s jump in. Here’s my Top 5 (in order):
5. BIG WEDNESDAY.
Who has 2 thumbs and knew that Busey did 2 awesome surf films? This guy right here. If you haven’t seen this film, do yourself a favor. It’s arguably the greatest surf film ever made outside of Endless Summer.
4. THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY.
This is a good film but makes the list for being the height of Busey’s acting ability. The role Busey was born to play, Buddy Holly earned Gary an Academy Award nomination in 1979. Unfortunately, he lost to Jon Voight!
3. PREDATOR 2.
My co-host (of the MILFcast) Heather Roddy, thinks this is one of the better sequels to be seen out there. I have to agree! While it’s no Aliens or Temple of Doom, Predator 2 is a solid follow-up to the first Predator film and Busey is a nice addition to this one!
2. LETHAL WEAPON.
While it was awesome to watch Busey and Mel Gibson go at it at the end of this film, how much more would you like to see that happen today! I mean, no one could’ve predicted how nutty those two were going to turn out. In fact, if TMZ reported tomorrow that Busey and Gibson were arrested for fighting on Danny Glover’s lawn, I wouldn’t be the slightest bit shocked!
Oh, and Lethal Weapon rocks!
1. POINT BREAK.
HE PLAYS AN F-B-I AGENT! Who would’ve thought this whole premise of surfing, thrill-seeking bank robbers would work but it does. It’s a little sad to watch now because Busey still seems to be retaining a bit of his sanity but his off the wall take on the character of Pappas breathed life into what could’ve been a throwaway part and helps elevate this film to the cult classic it is.
So, what do you think?

Errr… Lost Highway? C’mon!

Thought about it but I REALLY like Predator 2. The others were set in stone!
I have never seen Big Wednesday or The Buddy Holly Story, so I have to add Black Sheep and Under Siege.
Black Sheep – Not for the movie as a whole, but I loved his crazy ass military vet role, Drake Sabitch…what a name too!
Under Siege – For his banter with Tommy Lee Jones. They meshed perfectly as the nutty commander and the angry ex special ops dude.

Alot of people hit me up about Under Siege so you’re not alone on that. Black Sheep is a funny film. Honestly, I forgot he was in it. Still, it’s no Tommy Boy so I still would’ve probably left it off.
If you ever have the chance, check out Big Wednesday. That flick is great.
I already added it to my Netflix queue. Love the site by the way. Fletch is constantly expanding my movie going experience with new films that don’t always go boom or involve blood and guts. I will let you know what I think of Big Wednesday.

Make sure and tell me what you think. I don’t know where your from but I’m from HB (which is called Surf City) so that culture has always interested me. I’m curious to see what others think of it.
