An ex-special ops agent is lured out of retirement to rescue his mentor. To make the rescue, he must complete a near-impossible mission of killing three tough-as-nails assassins with a cunning leader.
Even with just one minute and forty seconds, Killer Elite already looks way more fun and watchable than The Expendables. It’s got a great cast (MVP = Clive Owen’s molester ‘stache) and all the trappings of a cheesy as hell and entertaining action flick. After the crap that was The Expendables and the forgettable boredom of The Mechanic, Statham could use a starring role that isn’t slightly embarrassing. Killer Elite could be it.
Killer Elite, based on a true story told in the novel The Feather Men by Ranulph Fiennes, hits theaters September 23, 2011. Oh crap, the dumping ground month for movies. Maybe I should not get excited.

Ugh…the movie itself looks like fun, but did they really have to revive “Rock You Like a Hurricane?”
Don’t worry – August is a much bigger dumping ground than late September.
Putting a ‘stache on Clive Owen is like looking at awesome and crossbreeding it with Cousin It from Addams Family. Result – super awesome.
