A new trailer for The Woman in Black premiered over at Yahoo! Movies yesterday and it features Daniel Radcliffe, Radcliffe’s sweet sideburns, toy monkeys, and a rhyme about the woman in question. Sounds like all sorts of sexy, doesn’t it? Check it out below.
Here’s the official and straight to the point plot:
While taking care of a deceased client’s estate, a young lawyer encounters a mysterious woman dressed in black and uncovers a tragic secret.
I’ll definitely say this, the new trailer for The Woman in Black does a much better job at showing its creepy potential than the 48 second one that popped up earlier this year. Its good a creepy vibe I dig, and I love the period setting. It’s also worthwhile to note that the film was produced by Hammer Films, the recently resurrected company that was responsible for all the old Christopher Lee Dracula films you probably caught on TV at one point or another. That’s a good horror pedigree right there, helping to forget the fact that CBS Films is handling American distribution (their other releases include Beastly and The Back-Up Plan, so they’ve been poisonous so far). I’ve never watched the Harry Potter flicks so I’m pumped to see Radcliffe branch out and do something I actually want to see; I just hope Potter fans will accept him as anyone else but the Boy Wizard. He deserves better than typecasting.
The Woman in Black opens everywhere February 3, 2012.

You’re not allowed to watch this movie until you’ve watched all 8 Potter flicks. You can skip “December Boys,” though.

If my last two girlfriends couldn’t get me to watch them using their feminine wiles, I don’t think you will do any better at convincing me
. Harry Potter just isn’t my thing.

Has no one told you about all the wrestling in the Harry Potter films and the cameos by Steve Austin and The Rock? I thought you’d be all over it just for that stuff.

Roddy Piper made the best Hogwarts professor ever.
Yes I really hope this is good. I am an actual Dan Rad fan, besides being a HP fan. And the trailer is quite creepy, but in a good way. Maybe it’ll be like The Others.
That actually looks creepy. I hope that Daniel can pull this off. I would say as long as he doesn’t wear glasses at anytime during the movie, that he has a shot.
Its those period toys. They definitely up the creepiness.
