I told you all about this one a while back. This was my pick for Best of the Fest when I covered TVIFF back in September. The premise of The Pill is simple enough: Worried that he has gotten the free-spirited Mindy pregnant after an unprotected sexual encounter, Fred feigns romantic interest and sticks with her for twelve hours to make sure she takes both doses of the morning-after pill.
I’m happy to announce that the film has found distribution. The director (J.C. Khoury) e-mailed me earlier this week and told me the film will have its theatrical release at the Quad Cinema in NYC on December 16th. It will also be available on Video On Demand from Film Buff in February, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
I cannot stress enough how refreshing and fun this film is. It’s been in several festivals and won both lead actors a NY Emerging Talent award from the Big Apple Film Festival along with the Cityscape award for best NYC feature. Do yourself a favor and seek it out. You can start by checking out the trailer:

It’s looking like J.C. will be joining us on the MILFcast early next year to promote the film’s VOD release so stay tuned for that too!

The actor looks really really familiar for some reason. Anyways it looks a bit predictable to me, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be enjoyable

Yes, I can’t tell if it’s cuz I remember seeing him (Noah Bean) in stuff or if he looks like someone else. He’s done a bunch of TV and a few movies you’ve probably seen.
The film may have a bit of a predictable ending but it’s still really fun to watch and has a lot of charm.

Awesome news! I hope NonStop Entertainment (Scandinavian theatrical and DVD distributor) picks it up. I e-mailed their acquisitions guy your review of it.
