I’m sure you’ve heard by now that a six minute prologue to The Dark Knight Rises will be playing before IMAX showings of Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol, Soldier, Spy. If you didn’t know…well now you do. Here’s the unfortunate news: it’s not playing at every IMAX screen in the country. Warner Bros. has released a list of the IMAX theaters that will be playing the prologue, for both North America and the U.K. North America will be getting it first on December 16th, while the U.K. will have to wait until December 21st. Depending on where you live, you may want to get into a road trip mindset. Check out the lists below, courtesy of Comic Book Movie who put them in handy dandy image form so I didn’t have to type them up individually. Much obliged.
North American Screens (December 16th):
U.K. Screens (December 21st):
So there you have it. Is it playing near you? If so do you plan on going? I don’t really feel like going to Austin to see it so I’ll just wait around for Warner Bros. to (hopefully) put it online relatively soon after. And while we’re on the subject of online, let me just say this now: WE WILL NOT BE POSTING A BOOTLEG OF THE FOOTAGE. That’s bush league.
The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20, 2012. And here’s two dudes dressed as a sexy Batman and sexy Joker just because.

Even though I had no intention of paying IMAX prices to see MI4 – let alone a prologue to The Dark Knight Rises which will likely be online in about fifteen minutes after its release – I’m going to boycott this anyways on the grounds of studios once again overlooking NC.
Is it not enough that we always have to wait 2-3 months before any of the good releases make it our way? Now we get passed over for cheap promotional gimmicks? *sadness*

NC get’s dicked that badly? BUT IT’S RIC FLAIR COUNTRY!
…
Even if NC means something else I’m still not taking this comment back.
Aye, despite repeated efforts on our part to “woo” Hollywood’s best movies all we get in timely manners are big blockbusters and Christian indies.

Sorry, but I don’t understand the appeal of watching only six minutes of a movie. I’ll wait for the completed version to hit theatres. If this prologue is something different from the movie. I’ll take Univarn’s recomendation and wait til it’s online.

Really, nothing in Denver? Ohhhhhhh, well, then. I’m not going to Arizona for a 6 minute prologue.
