Do we have a new number one most-anticipated movie of 2012?
If I wasn’t so in love with Batman (it’s true – we have a very strong relationship) I might say so.
I’ll just let you watch and then I’ll jump in:
First things first… I don’t care about the Alien prequel stuff. If it is, great. If it’s not… look at this thing!!! This trailer is intense as hell. And the acting chops in this thing puts it completely over the top: Fassbender. Elba. Theron. Rapace (the original title character in Girl with the Dragon Tattoo).

Also, here’s a couple screen shots for you… the first is what looks to be the alien that they’ll be up against (clearly no relation to the xenomorphs of the Alien franchise) and the second is the final shot of Fassbender who looks kind of… evil. Shades of Paul Reiser in Aliens???
For me, right now, this one is a strong #2 choice for the year. But what about you? Does this second trailer convince you any more about its awesomeness?

Looks amazing, and even with The Hobbit upcoming in the winter this could end up being the best studio movie of the year.
I think for many, though, its success will come down to how it ties together with Alien. Because that really is what it’s all about.
No matter how many times I’ve seen this trailer it doesn’t get old. Can’t wait to see this movie.
I really hope this isn’t going to be PG-13 rated just to sell a few moe tickets. You can have succesful R rated movies. Kudos to Noomi(Dragon) Repace and Michael(Shame) Fassbender for appearing in this
