EPIC CASTING NEWS

by

Pun intended. Kind of.

“From the creators of Ice Age and Rio, Epic tells the story of an ongoing battle deep in the forest between the forces of good and the forces of evil.  When a teenage girl finds herself magically transported into this secret universe, she must band together with a rag-tag team of fun and whimsical characters in order to save their world…and ours.”

The voice cast includes Beyonce Knowles (everyone’s favorite Child of Destiny), Colin Farrell (continuing his comeback), Josh Hutcherson (Peeta from The Hunger Games), Amanda Seyfried (who can impressively survive car crashes), Johnny Knoxville (who will always be best known for his Oscar-worthy work on Jackass), Aziz Ansari (a fantastic stand-up and one of the many reasons why “Parks and Recreation” is the best comedy on television), Pitbull (the rapper, not a dog… because THAT would be weird), Jason Sudeikis (probably not a big chance to bring the funny here) and Steven Tyler (I guess he had time in between “American Idol” auditions).

Epic will be hitting theaters May 24,2013.

Any interest based on the voice talent or does something like that matter to you? Let us know below!

  • What a strange voice cast. It’s like Arthur and the Invisibles all over again. Speaking of rip-offs, how is this not Furngully?
