After showering us with character posters last week, we finally get our first good glimpse at the upcoming sequel Expendables 2 with this new trailer… check it out:

I was in regardless (although the potential PG-13 rating – if that happens – makes it a bit of a tougher sell in my opinion) but this trailer is very promising. We actually see that Van Damme is going to be the villain which is absolutely awesome in my opinion. That Stallone-Van Damme fight might even top the Stallone-Stone Cold Steve Austin fight from the first one (but definitely can’t top the Vin Diesel-Rock fight from Fast Five). Yes, there’s some iffy stuff (“I now pronounce you man and knife,” Chuck Norris) and some could-be-ok stuff (Liam Hemsworth, being about as intimidating as I am, is obviously a sniper) but when Arnold rips the door off that Smart Car and follows it up with “My shoe is bigger than this car” I cheered and pumped my fist at my computer. It’ll be great to see the Governator back on the big screen kicking ass and taking names…

How are you feeling about this sequel? Are you feeling better after seeing some action footage like I am? And on a scale of 1-10, how important is the R rating to this movie (personally, I say it’s roughly a 13)?
