The first poster for Dredd, a remake/reboot/quasi-sequel/I-can’t-keep-track-of-it-all of the 1995 Sylvester Stallone action flick, has hit the internet. Starring Karl Urban (good ol’ Bones from Star Trek) and Lena Headey (the brilliantly evil Cersei Lannister in “Game of Thrones”), the film hits theaters in September.
Dredd takes us to the wild streets of Mega City One, the lone oasis of quasi-civilization on Cursed Earth. Judge Dredd (Karl Urban) is the most feared of elite Street Judges, with the power to enforce the law, sentence offenders and execute them on the spot – if necessary.
Here’s the poster:
I’m intrigued. I’m also pumped with the R rating, and more specifically, the reasoning for that rating (for strong bloody violence, language, drug use and some sexual content). That all sounds pretty good to me!
How are you feeling about Dredd? Are you in, or are you, dare I say, dreading it’s release? (Ba dum chuh)

Love this. It’s moody, atmospheric…really solid work. I just hope the film itself ends up being solid.
Didn’t realize this would be R rated. That’s pretty awesome.
