POLICE ACADEMY REBOOT IN THE WORKS

by

Well… it continues.

Jeremy Garelick, screenwriter of The Break-Up and… nothing else, has been commissioned by New Line to rewrite the reboot of the classic comedy Police Academy. Scott Zabielski, best known for producing and directing episodes of “Tosh.0,” will be making his feature film debut as the project’s director. And since both of these guys have had just an immense amount of success in the film world, it’s a good thing they don’t have to worry about casting

But in all seriousness, the inevitable has occurred and I bet there are a few people who write for this site that are going to have a thing or two to say about this… so… let’s get it on!

  • Not the least bit surprised, but I’m also not all that disappointed or angry. I really enjoyed the PA films (particularly #s 1-4) as a kid, but I’ve never felt they were beyond reproach (or remaking). Let’s see who they cast!
