COMIC-CON EXCLUSIVE: DREDD RED-BAND CLIP HITS!

by

Dredd is really starting to jump up the most-anticipated charts for the remainder of the year…

The poster rocked, the teaser (although a bit Raid:Redemption-like) was very cool, and everything thus far that we have seen as improved the excitement level.

And now it’s reached an all-time high!

Here is a Red-Band clip from the upcoming action flick that debuted at Comic-Con. If you like guns, gratuitous blood, and slow-mo violence, well, then this minute is for you!

Holy crap…

That made me go Keanu (translation: “Whoa”) several times and that was only one minute long! This bodes well for Karl Urban and Co…

What say you?

  • Dredd seems to be at war with the 180 rule as much as with drug dealing scum, but I have a feeling that the funky spatial issues in that clip are intentional to mirror the sensation of being doped up on Slo-Mo. That doesn’t necessarily keep it from bothering me, but I can admire the purpose there.

And the clip still looks pretty good besides. Could be a good bit of bloodshed cinema. Plus, Urban’s a boss, especially in that outfit.
