Another year, another sequel to a horror movie that didn’t do so well in the first place…
This time it’s Silent Hill, the 2006 horror film that adapted the video game of the same name. This October they’ll be back and we have the first image from the film and also a clip featuring some very creepy (and face-less) nurses…

I didn’t see the original and I can’t say that anything here interests me either, save for the reuniting of “Game of Thrones” stars Sean Bean and Kit Harrington (that would be Jon Snow). But beyond that, I think I will probably just pass (although I have heard quite a few good things about the original…)

I’m a big fan of the original film. It’s one of the few really good video game movies–some argue it’s the best. The one thing I hated about it, though, was the ending, which was one of the stupidest cliffhangers ever.
So needless to say, I’m insanely excited that this sequel is finally coming through. And not only that, but the director has promised it’s not just going to retcon anything and it will address the ending of the previous film.
And on top of everything, that clip looks freakin’ fantastic.

Huh. Well…dunno. I can’t say too much about a minute-and-a-half-long clip, but the nurses do look exactly like the ones in the games. I don’t think making a movie version look exactly like the game says anything, though, so…I’ll withhold judgment.
