COMIC-CON EXCLUSIVE PACIFIC RIM POSTER

Amongst my ranting about Tyler Perry playing Alex Cross instead of Idris Elba getting the honors, I not only mentioned that Elba would be appearing in Guillermo del Toro’s 2013 blockbuster to-be Pacific Rim, but I gave you that first picture of Elba in his gear. If you didn’t see it, here it is again:

Well, we now have our first look at a poster for the film which popped up online this week. The poster will be handed out exclusively at Comic-Con, where the film will also have its own panel and everything. Here’s the poster:

The brief plot synopsis that we have thus far says the film features gargantuan killer beasts that begin rising from the Pacific Ocean in the future. Humanity’s only hope? A series of gigantic robots that must be telepathically controlled by two pilots at a time.
