Two Brian De Palma references in one day – who knew the guy was so topical?!?

His most recent film, Passion, stars Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace and it looks like they’re getting pretty friendly… and if the trailer is any indication, this is only the beginning.

My first thought was very simply, “meh.” I couldn’t help but feel all Purvy Purverson during the trailer, and if that’s the goal, then, well, good on you De Palma. But if they’re marketing it in this Mulholland Drive-esque way where the focus is on the girl-on-girl action (or the potential for it) then I call foul, at least a little bit. I’m not a prude, but you get what I’m saying… right? Right.

Also, you just KNOW that Rachel McAdams is going to get all hot and bothered and whatnot, but there won’t be any nudity to speak of… Such a tease.

There… Did I hit both sides of the coin on that one?
