Ok, I write for this movie site and I watch every second of every clip that I put up as news. No exceptions…
Except for this.
I refuse to watch these trailers. I saw the first Paranormal Activity in the theater and it scared the absolute shit out of me. It still does, actually. And the second trailer just made me revisit all those feelings so when the third film was coming out and a trailer would come on TV, I’d change the channel. When I saw Final Destination 5 in theaters, and the trailer preceded the film, I went full-on Elementary School, plugging my ears and closing my eyes. I will not watch it.

For the record, I can’t believe there’s now four of these. Seems overblown, no?
But as I’ve said, I’m not supporting them, so someone must be… what do you think?

I, on the other hand, love these movies. Although the first one is still the scariest, but I like the development of the story. So, in other words: YAY!
Obviously, I love these movies and I’m looking forward to the 4th one. If you seen all the movies, you’d know why the 4th one needed to be made. Anyway, I can’t wait to see this!

I’m impressed that the studio manages to find new ways to make the same scares somewhat effective, so there’s that. But the Skype thing here is interesting. It seems like the next logical step for movies like this, and if you want to see it done really, really well, you should watch V/H/S when it gets its limited release this fall. Uses the exact same conceit to frightening success.
