You know, I’m really getting tired of writing these damn articles…
The Oscar-nominated actor, famous for his roles in The Green Mile, Sin City, and Talladega Nights has passed away at the age of 54. He suffered a heart attack on July 13 and never fully recovered from it, leading to the announcement today by his fiancee that he had died.
I mean, what can be said? This sucks. He was a giant on the screen, but he always came across as a gentle giant off-screen, as I’ve never heard a negative story surrounding him. He was well-known and well-loved in the Hollywood community and he will be sorely missed. Some men just seem indestructible and he was certainly one of them, not just because of his size, but because of how he carried himself and how he was presented.
R.I.P. Michael Clarke Duncan (1957-2012)

Such a shame. RIP.

What a tragedy. Dude was still really young, and I think he had a lot more ahead of him yet. Thing is, even when he didn’t fit into a role– Kingpin for example– I still liked him, mostly because he just has that gregarious warmth that makes him impossible to dislike. I think that’s rare.
So for all the good and bad roles, I thank you, MCD. You’ll be missed.
