Wait, what?

So you know how we have been talking and reading about how Arnold Schwarzeneggar was going to be back for a fifth Terminator film and we all were wondering how exactly that was possible since, you know, robots really can’t age.

Well the press release that came out today, which claims a release date, uses a very interesting word. Check it out:

“HOLLYWOOD, CA (June 27, 2013) – Skydance Productions, Annapurna Pictures and Paramount Pictures have jointly announced they will partner on a rebooted Terminator movie, to be released by Paramount Pictures on June 26, 2015… The first in a stand-alone trilogy, Terminator…”

They go on to say the normal blah blah this person is writing blah blah this person is producing and wait, it said what?

This is the first of another trilogy. This is a reboot. This… makes no sense.

The first film, while a bit dated, is still a classic. T2 is arguably one of the best action films of all-time. And this needs to be redone? And why does Arnold have a role in it if it’s a reboot?

I’m so confused.

Can you make sense of this for me?

  • The only thing that makes sense is Arnold getting a glorified cameo. Not even as the human robotics scientist. I have no idea who he could be, but all I’m saying is The Rock had better be a fucking terminator. Then I’m right on board. Bring on a trilogy.
