HEATHER’S TOP TEN BIG ACTORS FOR 2013

by

10. CHARLIZE THERON

Eh so Snow White sucked monkey nuts, she was incredible in it, and that scene with her doing push ups in Prometheus made me love her even more.  I’ve always been a fan, she’s strikingly beautiful but also proved to be a very talented and diverse actress.  Her performances this year have to have something for her in the next year or so.

9. JEREMY RENNER

The Avengers, filling Matt Damons place in the new Bourne movie which he did a very good job at, leading Hansel and Gretel and obvious future plans with more Avengers and yet another Mission Impossible announced, he’s a solid actor that I think can do really well in the action/thriller world.  I dig him.  A lot.

8. BRUCE WILLIS

Brucey keeps putting out.  He was good in Looper this year, had a fun role in The Expendables 2, and has a new Die Hard lined up, along with GI JOE 2, AND the new SIN CITY.  I’m in.  He doesn’t seem to age, and he certainly hasn’t lost his swag.

7. WILL SMITH

It’s not as though he’s been off the grid exactly, but until MIB3 which was surprisingly entertaining and good this year, we may have forgotten this guy is capable of making one hell of a blockbuster.  This year he’s coming out with Back To Earth, and I sincerely hope we can say welcome home to our Fresh Prince and let shit get real once again.

6. ANNE HATHOWAY

She was one sexy Catwoman and is nominated for an academy award.  She’s been great every year for the past several years, but in my opinion she is THE woman to watch.  She can play any role, she’s sexy, smart, and women like her too.

5. CHANNING TATUM

His performances in 21 Jump Street and Magic Mike proved he’s got chops, charisma, and the looks.  This year we’ll see in him in G.I JOE the sequel, which as I was not fond of the first, the second looks like it might have something.  Also a role in Side Effects, Soderbergh’s new film tells us he may have another good year.

4. CHRIS HEMSWORTH

The Avengers, Cabin In The Woods, AND Red Dawn this year? Even his part in Snow White And The Huntsman was the most redeeming part of the dread it exuded.  I’d say he did it right.  He showed that not only does he make a great action lead, but in Cabin In The Woods he was charming and likable, something more there.  A new Thor in the mix and certainly more Avengers in our future, I think this guy is going to stick around.  I certainly hope so.  He’s quickly become my favorite.

3. ROBERT DOWNEY JR.

He’s Tony Stark.  End of story.

2. MICHAEL FASSBENDER

Prometheus sold me, and it’s going to open a lot of doors for his future.  I found was more familiar with some of his work aside from the much talked about Shame this performance was so exceptional, my favorite of the year in fact that I find it impossible that the buzz won’t bring us more roles and performances in the future.

1. JOSEPH GORDON LEVITT

JO-GO! JO-GO! JO-GO!  I’d like to think that we here at MILF really caught him early in his career knowing that there was something there and smooth about this guy, and so far everything in his career he’d done up to this point before Looper I believe he did well, but Looper proved he’s a star, a lead man, and could take the shine away from Brucy.  Nuh uh.  That just doesn’t happen.  Wait for it……………….he’s going to be in Sin City with Brucey.  I’m in baby.

Remember, we here at Man, I Love Films don’t do definitive lists. We do our favorites and we want to hear yours. So, make sure and tell us about them in the comments section below.
