MARK WAHLBERG TO HEADLINE TRANSFORMERS 4

Or as it’s possibly going to be titled, Optimus Prime and The Funky Bunch.

Amidst all of the internet rumoring, it appears that Michael Bay has actually listened to the chatter and decided to bring his now-favorite leading man (Wahlberg is in his upcoming Pain and Gain) into the land of the autobots as the lead actor for the fourth film in the Transformers series.

Here’s the quote from Bay himself:

“Mark is awesome. We had a blast working on Pain and Gain and I’m so fired up to be back working with him. An actor of his caliber is the perfect guy to re-invigorate the franchise and carry on the Transformers’ legacy.”

Oh…

I can just imagine the hubbub that this will create, especially among the 17 remaining fans of the series.

Does this make you even a slight bit more interested in the unnecessary sequel? I gotta say this raises my level from a -12 to a -5, but I’m not exactly sure if that is that much better.
