Does anybody want to win a pair of movie tickets? This is the question Man, I Love Films poses to you today. The specific film is Short Term 12, the indie pic that got a glowing review from me just two weeks ago. I recommended the movie to everybody, and now anybody (+1 friend) can see it for free! In addition, the winner will also receive a copy of its soundtrack, as well as a theatrical poster for Short Term 12 that has been signed by its star, Brie Larson.

Now, Cinedigm has given this excellent indie drama a wider release over the next several weekends. The tickets that are available will be for THIS WEEKEND at select locations at which ST12 is playing. The full list of locations can be found at the film’s official site, in the “Showtimes” page, under the “NOW PLAYING” and the “IN THEATERS AUGUST 30” sections therein. We advise you to live a reasonable distance from the theaters you see there, so that you can comfortably attend the venue and showtime of your choosing.

Here’s a link to the trailer, for anyone that isn’t convinced that they should see a pic that won both the Grand Jury Award and the Audience Award at SXSW 2013.

Entries must be sent via email, no later than this Thursday, August 29th 2013, by 11:59PM Pacific Time. All entries must be sent to thaddeuszwolfe (then the at symbol), and must contain your name, email address, and mailing address. The winner will receive an email from me this Friday morning to confirm that they’ve won, and will then be contacted by Mammoth Advertising to arrange a suitable showtime and venue for the winner and one (1) guest. After the time and place have been decided, Cinedigm will purchase the winner’s tickets and send them confirmation that the tickets have been secured. Man, I Love Films contributors, and their families, cannot participate in this contest.

We are both proud and happy to offer you this opportunity courtesy of Cinedigm and the creators of Short Term 12! I wish you all good luck!

  • The theaters aren’t close enough to me but I can’t wait to see this. I’ve heard nothing but amazing things so far. I’ll be sure to spread the word of the contest though.

    • Yes, the movie is excellent, and the only unenthusiastic reviews I’ve read come from people who were on edge because other people made it sound like the second coming. I’m sorry you’re not close to any locations yet (there are future locations listed further down on that web page), but I hope you get to see it soon, and I really hope you enjoy it, too.

Thank you so much, Lindsay! You rock.
